Tento blog začínam písať na terase našej izby v prekrásnom hoteli Shanti Ananda Maurice na juhu krásneho zeleného ostrova Maurícius. Nebolo mi to dané, ani prikázané. Píšem ho, lebo chcem, aby všetci pocítili vôňu vzduchu, ktorý dýcham, počuli džavot miestnych detí v mori a cítili jemný vánok na tvári. Pohostinnosť miestnych ľudí sa ťažko opisuje, sú prekrásni zvonku a žiari z nich vyrovnanosť, akú som nikdy nezažila.
… a cesta sa začala. Obedňajší odlet British Airways z Viedne sme stihli. Uponáhľanú Viedeň sme nechali za sebou a ešte uponáhľanejším Londýnom sme len prefrčali.
Ten, kto ešte necestoval s British Airways, môže ľutovať. Staff je celkovo veľmi profesionálny a vychádza všetkým v ústrety. Je veľmi milé, keď sa pri vás steward pristaví a veľmi milo a neformálne sa vám zverí, že počas toho, čo istý čas učil angličtinu v Szegedi, bol na lyžiarskom zájazde niekde pri Brezne. Hm, ani nevedel, ako blízko vlastne trafil. Až sme sa zasmiali. Vždy v pravú chvíľu sa pristavia a ponúknu vodu, víno alebo čaj a kávu. V British Airways fakt vidno kvalitu a štandard cestovania. V business class už ani nehovorím. Kde sú tie staré dobré časy, keď sa lietanie považovalo za niečo, čo malo úroveň? Už dávno to tak nie je… Už dávno to nie je o ľuďoch, ktorí prídu upravení, slušní a považujú cestovanie lietadlom za privilégium. Teraz sa často stretnete s osobami, ktoré si budú samé nalievať vlastné nápoje kúpené v duty free a brať to ako veľkú zabavu.
Po tom, ako priletíte na Maurícius, vás čaká imigračná kontrola. Síce oficiálne, ale milo si veľmi pracne a stále ešte ručne prepíšu vaše údaje do systému. S krásnym bielym úsmevom vám zaželajú príjemný pobyt.
Cesta do hotela hotelovým transferom trvala necelých 30 min. Jason, náš šofér, nám zatiaľ vyratúva, koľkými jazykmi to vlastne domáci hovoria. Keďže Maurícius bol aj britskou aj francúzskou kolóniou, všetci tu hovoria minimálne tromi jazykmi. K angličtine musíte pripočítať francúzštinu a kreolčinu. Podľa miestnych je to mix oboch koloniálnych jazykov. Ja si skôr myslím, že buď tu boli Francúzi veľmi dlho, alebo sa Briti veľmi nesnažili. Z 80% je kreolčina len skomolenou francúzštinou.
Prijatie v hoteli bolo úžasné. Od oslovenia priezviskom hneď po vystúpení z auta až po chladený zázvorovo medový nápoj na privítanie. Desiree s nami prešla všetko od stravy až po predstavenie riaditeľa hotela.
Izba je úžasná, priestranná a s priamym východom na pláž. Skrátka urobíme tak 10 krokov a sme na krásnej hotelovej pláži. Aj z lehátka na terase sa kocháte výhľadom, ktorý si tu asi bohovia vytvorili pre seba. Všade okolo štebocú vtáky, ktoré u nás vidíte tak raz za rok, keď sa pridáte ku kamošom s hŕstkou detí a navštívite niektorú z našich zoo. Podvečer cvrlikajú cvrčkovia a možno cikády. Skrátka krása! Z času na čas prejde po brehu mora prechádzajúci sa párik alebo osamotená stratená duša. Potichu alebo s milým úsmevom na tvári. A teraz nehovorím o domácich.
Prajem vám krásny deň, dajte si za mňa varené víno! Ja si za vás dám čerstvo odšťavený ananásový alebo melónový džús.
