1. Nový rok sa pre obraz Slovenska v zahraničí nezačal veľmi pozitívne… 
Škandál s výbušninami zarezonoval celým mediálnym svetom a opäť svojským spôsobom “zviditeľnil” našu rodnú hrudu.
Naši štátni zástupcovia a kompetentní majú zaručený systém “horúci zemiak”, čiže sa problém “pohadzuje” z jednej strany na druhú. Na stránke popradského letiska tiež nič nenájdete, bodla by aspoň nejaká suchá správička…
Ani sa mi nechce polemizovať a hľadať vinníka. Smutným pre mňa je obraz Slovenska v zahraničí a tiež dopad a následky, ktoré bude mať toto “extempore”.
2. No a do páru ďalšia “podivuhodnosť”… Určite ste v decembri zaregistrovali správu o krádeži historického nápisu “Arbeit macht frei” z brány bývalého koncentračného tábora v Osvienčime.
Posledné správy z vyšetrovania potvrdili, že stopy zlodejov vedú do Švédska. Krádež mala byť na objednávku zberateľa, ktorý si chcel svoju zbierku “obohatiť” týmto úlovkom.
Mňa len zaráža, čo dotyčný pán zberateľ vlastne zbiera, a kde chcel umiestniť tento nápis, ktorý nie je len historickým kusom, ale aj predmetom symbolizujúcim utrpenie a krutosť.
Vo svete sa deje mnoho “podivuhudností” a ja tajne dúfam, že výbušniny v batožinách nič netušiacich pasažierov a morbídni zberatelia budú žiť v nejakom inom paralelnom svete, o ktorom bude fajn písať veselé fantasy príbehy a la Terry Pratchett a potom sa na nich z chuti budeme smiať… Že nebudú realitou. Nášho sveta.
