Už sme na našom blogu písali o paradajkovom masakri La Tomatina v 
Španielsku. Taliani majú niečo podobné, no používajú na to pomaranče 
Každoročná pomarančová bitka, čiže battaglia delle arance, sa koná v meste Ivrea blízko Turína. Tento rok potrvá od 13.-16. februára. Proti sebe bude navzájom súperiť 9 tímov v originálnych kostýmoch, na základe ktorých môžete rozoznať ich príslušnosť k danému tímu.
Tak ako pri každej tradícii nie je celkom presne jasné, ako vznikla – ani pomarančová vojna nie je výnimkou. Je známe, že v 19. storočí milé mladé dámy hádzali do chlapcov počas karnevalu z balkónov konfety, kvety a iné ľahšie objekty, aby tak naznačili švárnym mládencom svoju priazen dúfajúc, že im začnú dvoriť. No, až raz došlo k tomu, že jednej dáme nepostačila kvetinka, ale radšej vsadila na istotu – pomaranč. Ťažko posúdiť, ako to bral jej vyvolený, a či ocenil jej city, hlavne, ak dáma mala presnú mušku…
Ale, čo vieme je, že sa postupne z tohto malicherného incidentu vyvinul súboj pohlaví na balkónoch a na zemi. Obe pohlavia vyzbrojené pomarančami a chuťou sa dobre zabaviť. Postupne po 2. svetovej vojne sa táto bitka stala organizovanejšou a prestala byť súbojom medzi pohlaviami.
Súčasná vojna pomarančov je vysoko organizovanou záležitosťou a pripomína stredovekú revoltu, kedy sa miestni poddaní vzbúrili voči svojmu vrchnému pánovi, ktorý sa dožadoval práva prvej noci na čerstvo vydatej mladučkej poddanej…
Ako sme už spomenuli, každý tím má svoj dres a aj názov, za ktorým sa nachádza historické pozadie. Každý tím má aj vyhradené miesto svojho boja, ale aj vlastnú web stránku, ktorá je plná života a akcií.
Všetkým adrenalínovým nadšencom, ktorí už hľadajú letenky do Turína, odporúčam zakúpiť dobrú ochranu hlavy + v žiadnom prípade nenosiť nič cenné na miesto činu. Veď posúďte podľa fotiek prečo…

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
